"What I think of right away and most importantly are two things... - the quality of the shows...a great alternative to going to some of the larger shows and provide an opportunity to foster/strengthen relationships with suppliers - the excellent communication regarding "state of the industry" issues "

"I would say information in running our business is one of the key items that we receive from other distributors & suppliers
through our friendships, seminars and trade shows. Belonging to TRASA and attending the activities offers gives me, as a Distributor, a chance to know my Suppliers better and have the time to share information about what we sell each and every day.
Suppliers are in the position to give us the "Extra" tools that we need to land that special sale. Belonging to TRASA give us a chance to develop a relationship with our competitors and I've personally learned a lot about the industry and different internal cost saving tips from those friendships. The educational programs sponsored by TRASA has also been a important step in being a successful Distributor. Last, but not least, is the Client Day. This venue has been a working tool for our company to introduce promotional items to our clients for their future buying needs.

"TRASA in my opinion is a great organization that provides education, a great spring show, a great fall show and fun times to be together with my peers. Whenever you are with other people in your industry (distributors and suppliers) you learn many things to help you with your day to day business. I volunteer to help in any way I can because doing anything for another person or organization makes you feel worthwhile. There are many benefits to belonging to TRASA (too many to list) but most important to me is learning new ideas that help me run by business."

"When I entered into the promotional products field in 1992 I recognized the importance of getting to personally know the industry leaders so that I could model myself after them. My membership in TRASA provided me with the opportunity to meet people like Stan Brackenridge, Ed Warsinsky, Carl Hamburg and many other class individuals who offered guidance and support for me. I continue to participate in TRASA today for the same reasons, only now I hope to be able to be the one to share my past experiences with others in hopes that I may be a worthwhile influence. I also sincerely enjoy the comradery and fellowship of TRASA members like Mark Provenzano, Kippie Helzel and Patti Ward and many others.

"There are many reasons that I believe in TRASA!
- TRASA board/organizers work very hard to make it a trade show that both Distributors and Suppliers will benefit from attending.
- Many of my customers attend....great time to update and review Charles River Apparel products.
- I am able to help Distributors zero in to the needs of their customers(end users) or maybe an upcoming program.
- Great feedback and ideas for potential styles in the future.

"It is very easy to become comfortable living in our own personal “bubble” in life. Serving on the TRASA board of directors the last 3 years has given me the opportunity to experience the promotional product industry from a very different point of view than just running my company on a day to day basis. I have had the opportunity to serve as the Regional Association Council Representative for TRASA. The RAC board has a rep. from each of the 28 regional associations. The sharing of information and planning the future of our associations is not only a challenge but helped me to understand the big picture on a national scale. Serving as President of TRASA last year I was able to work with a team of committed professionals that all have the same goal in mind, to help grow our industry in all areas. My personal bubble is much larger now thanks to TRASA.
Volunteering (especially serving on the board) gives you personal growth and leadership experiences.
Form relationships and friendships with other members that can benefit you in many ways."

"I like to refer to The Book Company as a boutique supplier. Although we can get any book – books are all that we do. I have found that one of the best ways to get our book concept message to promotional consultants is through the network of regional associations. TRASA and their board do an excellent job for their members and attract the standard of distributor I look for to build those important relationships. I am proud to be a member and volunteer.

"I occasionally meet with other Trasa distributors to review suppliers performance and product ideas. This interaction helps to make all of us more aware of current trends within our suppliers offerings and reliability. Networking and Brainstorming. Educational opportunities. Help strengthen the distributor channel of promotional products. Strengthen relationships between suppliers and distributors."
